Pioneers of the Assembly of God Church, in Dunsmuir, Ca

Alfred Grant and his wife, Birdie Lee Grant, were members of the the Assembly of God congregation. The Smith family; Charles and John Smith Jr, also attended. The Dixons were members as well. The Assembly of God Church was predominantly white. In 1950 Robert Grant was born into The Assembly of God. Years later Mr. John Smith Sr and his wife had a boy child that they named Christopher. John and Willybell had 12 children. John Smith Sr also attended the Assembly of God and the Baptist Church, but he kept that a secret. The Dogans family went to the Baptist Church in Weed. Carolyn Dogans married a bishop after she moved away. Her father was a police officer in Dunsmuir.
